External coverage

This page records items published elsewhere about Live Index or the people responsible for its research. It exists because the difference between a newsroom writing about a publication and a wire carrying that publication's own announcement is a real difference, and a list of logos hides it. Each entry states who published it, when, and how it came to exist.

Nothing here is treated as an endorsement, and coverage is never used as a substitute for evidence. A syndicated launch release is an interested source: it can establish that an announcement was made and what it said, and it establishes nothing about whether a measurement is correct. Where a claim about a person or the organisation depends on third-party corroboration, that corroboration is recorded separately in the sourced person record, with its status shown.

Independent editorial coverage
Written and published by the host's own editorial staff, on its own decision.
Interview
A question-and-answer or quoted-remarks format, where the subject supplied the substance and the publisher supplied the questions and the editing. The publication, its date, its headline and its interviewer are external facts; the answers inside it are the subject's own statements. Interviews are counted separately from independent editorial coverage for that reason, and are never treated as third-party verification of what the subject says in them.
Syndicated launch press release
An announcement written by or for the subject and distributed through a wire service to hosts that carry it without reporting it. Recorded here in full, labelled, and never described as the host publication's reporting.
