Who the work may challenge
Our work may challenge promoters, ticketing companies, artists, venues, policymakers, fans, conventional industry wisdom — or our own assumptions.
That is part of the job.
Data, analysis and opinion
We distinguish between data, analysis and opinion. A measurement, an interpretation of that measurement, and a view about what should follow from it are three different things, and we label them as such.
We identify meaningful conflicts or limitations in our sources.
Uncertainty
When the available evidence cannot support a confident conclusion, we would rather say we don't know yet than manufacture certainty.
Errors
We correct substantive errors. Corrections are dated, retained and attached to the document they affect, so that anything previously cited remains traceable.
