Who owns and operates The Atlantis?
The Atlantis borrows two names from Washington's club history without being either of them. The original Atlantis opened in 1978 at 930 F Street, the address that became the original 9:30 Club; the current 9:30 Club has its own record. The room I.M.P. unveiled on May 30, 2023, with Foo Fighters playing the opening, is a new 450-capacity venue built as an homage to and near replica of that F Street room. The register stores 2023 as its opening year and treats the earlier names as history, not as the same building.
Within I.M.P.'s Washington network it is the smallest room, alongside the 9:30 Club, the Lincoln Theatre, The Anthem and Merriweather Post Pavilion. The register records the company affiliation as a portfolio listing, from I.M.P.'s own history and the shared tickets page; neither source is a deed or lease, so no ownership or legal title is recorded, and I.M.P.'s finances for the room are not stated.
For buyers, the tickets page draws a clear line. Tickets can be bought at venue box offices with no service fees, or online through Ticketmaster; but only general-admission and standard reserved tickets are sold at the box office, VIP packages are online only, and some fan-club presales and special packages are handled separately. "No service fees" does not mean every other charge or tax is zero, and box-office hours change, so they are not reproduced here. Ticketmaster is recorded as a published sales channel, not an exclusive contract; the box-office price guide compares this policy with others.
