This page publishes the segment's eligibility rule and boundary. No sub-index level, constituent list or weight is reported, because none has been measured.

Why this segment exists

Ticketing revenue is a take rate applied to a transaction the promoter and venue originate. That makes it a high-margin, fee-driven exposure to the same attendance base as promotion, with a different risk profile: a ticketing company is exposed to volume and to fee levels, but not to the guarantee.

It is also the segment most exposed to regulation. Federal all-in pricing rules and the pending antitrust record change what may be charged and how it must be displayed, which is a revenue question and not only a compliance one.

Eligibility

A company is assigned here when all hold

  • The company reports revenue from primary ticket distribution, secondary marketplace activity, or ticketing technology licensed to venues and promoters.
  • The revenue is transaction-linked rather than a flat software subscription unrelated to admissions volume.
  • Live-event ticketing can be separated from ticketing for non-live categories in the disclosure.

Outside the boundary

  • General-purpose payment processors are excluded even where events are a large customer category.
  • Travel and attraction booking platforms are excluded unless live-event admissions are disclosed separately.

Qualifying activities

  • Primary ticket sale and distribution
  • Secondary-market resale platforms
  • White-label ticketing systems licensed to venues
  • Access control and scanning tied to admissions revenue

Constituents

None. A company is listed here only once its live-revenue exposure has been measured from a primary document and the index has been released. Candidate records held to prove the record schema are withheld from publication and are not named on this page.
