Historical account

Peter Jenner’s historical career joins artist management, free-concert organization and debates over how music rights are paid. Middle Tennessee State University’s October 17, 2014 speaker record describes his move from economics and academic work into managing Pink Floyd, followed by work with the Clash, Ian Dury and Billy Bragg, among other artists. These are dated accounts of past management, not a verified 2026 roster or a claim of current Sincere Management employment.

The International Music Business Research Association’s 2019 guest introduction separately records Jenner’s involvement in London’s Hyde Park free concerts, including the Rolling Stones’ 1969 event. That location and date should not be confused with the portrait: Ralf Lotys photographed Jenner at Przystanek Woodstock in Poland on August 1, 2013. Neither the conference photograph nor the historical concert account identifies him as an organizer of the 1969 Woodstock festival in the United States.

Why Peter Jenner matters in live music

The institutional sources make two different functions visible. Management concerns an artist’s ongoing business, while presenting a free outdoor concert requires coordination beyond an individual client relationship. The MTSU article also discusses digital payments and rights advocacy. IMBRA places Jenner in its 2019 Music 2025 presentation and a discussion of big data in the music business; its emeritus and advisory descriptions are preserved as period-specific evidence, not refreshed into current titles. These accounts connect performance history to the way rights and payment records are organized, without establishing a current executive office or inventing contract terms. Live Index links the profile to the booking-agent and manager distinction and the representation register as related reading. The sources are event announcements and conference biographies, useful for their stated scope but not substitutes for full tour settlements or a comprehensive verified client chronology.
