City live music profiles

The city-level counterpart to the master score, allowing municipal live music economies to be benchmarked against one another on consistent inputs.

Status

This is a development note, not a published measurement. Live Index reports no figure for it. Published data currently lives in the national indicators. Page last reviewed .

What this index measures

  • Activity, venue supply, affordability and local economic contribution within a single city.
  • A city's position relative to comparable markets rather than an absolute ranking.
  • Change over time within the city, which is usually the more useful reading.

Methodology

Cities are grouped into comparison sets by population band and venue supply before scoring.

Each city profile discloses which inputs were available and which were estimated.

No city is scored where more than one core input is unavailable.
